western digital 1tb black nvme question

i was searching around there website and do not see any nvme drivers for this drive. Does it strictly use the windows one? If so isn't the windows one just problematic and unable to provide the drives full speeds?

WD actually recommend you use the Microsoft drivers. About what I'd expect from WD.

From the release notes for the WD software...

Recommended drivers for WD Black PCIe SSD™
• iRST 15.2.0.1020 or newer (excluding v15.2.15.1058)
• Microsoft NVMe driver

Or will the windows one be ok or is it just garbage ? Is this drive any good ?
