Western Digital 400gb not detected via Sata to usb adaptor

Hi i just backed up my WD after it having Raw read error rate issues ,

but i still want to use it as a spare hdd , normally when i plug laptop hdd's into the adaptor it works fine ,
now i want to put my 3,5 inch hdd in . the computer sayd it recognized something but i was too late to look at the screen i just heard the sound.

i dont see a hdd anywhere ,
its not raw cuz i still have windwos on it and my old files if im not mistaken.

anyway of accesing this baby trough usb ?

sure, through a $15 USB adapter, or by putting it into an external enclosure. Try getting into BIOS and see if the motherboard detects the HDD, otherwise your drive may have died on you, which really sucks 🙁

i use this USB adaptor for laptop hdd's with a case but i can plug it in any sata disc, it would suck if it had died yes .. right on time tho i backed everything up from that dying piece of *** this morning
