its good to see a main stream manufacture get on the ssd bandwagon. Even though their prices seem high now, I am hoping htis will start the price war on these drives.

[citation][nom]dark_lord69[/nom]I think OCZ sells 64GB drives cheaper than these.[/citation]

Yeah, of course a 64GB would sell for less than a 128GB or 256GB? But yes they are VERY pricey.

They have the 64GB model listed too, it is $279.

Newegg has an OCZ 64gb for $189, so you are right.

When they come down in price I will get one.

From all the reading that I've been doing on the HDD vs SSD; The SSD's " aren't there yet". I'd wait at least another generation to jump on their wagon. I'll stick with the slower 1 TB drives for $100.00.

Why would you buy a SATA SSD with 256GB space for $999 when you can buy a PCI-e SSD with 256GB space for $1059????????

I don't believe the PCI -SSD is bootable, therefore it can not replace your Hard Drive but rather be a second storage device. The average Joe isn't going to buy either of these yet, probably not for another 3 years when
the price is resasonable.

WAAAHHHHHH WAAAAAAHHHHHH WHY CAN'T THEY BE CHEAPER.

If it costs too much, don't buy it. It's simple. Whining about high prices on every SSD news post isn't going to change the prices.

Well actually you could buy a USB stick or something to boot of from there and jump right on the PCI-E SSD. Should not be too complicate to make that happen.
