Western Digital bad clusters policy

How many clusters does it need to have before I can RMA it? I cannot find info this anywhere. Thanks in advance.

It is the threshold in SMART. I can't tell you a specific number but it is easy to find out on your own hdd.

Download the manufactures hard drive diagnostic test program from their web site, it will have to fail this test before you can RMA it. If it passes this test you wont be able to get a fault code to let you RMA it.

Just right click the hdd in the list and click "Show SMART Disk Info".
