Western Digital cannot Scan and Fix

Hey guys,

Something happened to my WD my passport disk. Every time I plug it in, Windows offers to Scan and Fix my drive. If I use the option, it gets stuck in the very beginning (doesn't even look like it's progressing). I left it for 4-5 hours but there was no progress.
If I skip that option, the disk is pretty much read-only.

What can I do?

Drive may be faulty, I'd copy what you can now while the drive is working as it is if you need to and replace it. Install the WD disk check utility and scan the drive.

I scanned it using Disk utility provided by WD and it seems fine. Pass on both fast and throughout checks

If it came out OK there, copy the files and do a full format on the drive, see if it works after that without those errors.
