So I've had a lot of bad luck with PC components these past few weeks. 2 of my hard drives died and I just got this Western Digital Caviar Black WD1002FAEX 1TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s -- off Newegg. I went ahead and cloned my new failing Samsung Spinpoint 1TB to my new WD Caviar Black 1TB and now I'm either being paranoid or this new WD Black is also failing.

It's running rather hot at 100-122 F, I know it's within normal temperature but I also have a 120mm fan right in front of it and an Enermax HD cooler with 2 fans attached to the HD. The (dead) Samsung used to run at 89 F at load and it was really quiet. This WD Black drive is almost as noisy as my old IDE drives. The WD Black is not making clunking noises but I heard a very faint and consistent click click click occasionally while cloning. After 2 dead drives I'd rather make sure this one isn't doomed because it's still under warranty (but who's to say I wont get another DOA).

I'm using HD Tune to monitor the temperature. I have absolutely no idea on how to read the Benchmarking results so I really need some help from you guys. Also please tell me what tests I should be running.

*It doesn't let me do the Benchmark Write test for some reason. Only the Read.

I'm getting a voltmeter for the 12v plugs, is there any way to tell if it's the MoBo or anything else? Right now Im looking at way too much money if I have to replace UPS Battery + PSU + 3 Hard drives + surge protector
