My Western Digital External Harddisk has certain sound like tickling kind noise on and off, I don't like to hear that, what I worry most is about my important data. Can someone help???
Most HDD's make a small amoutn of noise while being accessed for readt / write operations. Some are noticably noisier than others.
Im not sure about the WD drives but you can change the performance / noise of some brands of drive with a small application downloaded from the manufacturer. The noisier the drive the fast it is working.

This is quite normal. Regardless, you should be backing up all your important data either online, on another disk, on a CD, etc.
If you don't want to hear clicking noises, purchase a Solid State drive, or make sure that your next laptop has only SSDs
