Western Digital Hard Drive doesnt fit in Corsair SPEC-01

Hi
This is my first time posting here, so i hope you can be helpful
I have just got the corsair carbide spec-01 case and this hard drive (http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Storage/Hard+Drives/3.5+Inch+SATA+Drives/640GB+-+1TB/1TB+Western+Digital+WD1003FZEX+Black+Hard+Drive+-+HDD+?productId=58525). I have tried to fit the drive in the case, but the drive will not fit in the plastic drive caddys included with the spec-01. Is it safe to just slide the drive in where the caddy would usually go? or am I trying to fit the drive in wrong? Thanks in advance.

Hello... the 3.5 WD Hd should fit... the "TRAY" is a 2.5" drive adaptor? and is not a true HD "CADY" see if it fits without the "Tray"...

Hey there, Samuel!

You can simply slide the 3.5" HDD inside. The caddy (tray) in the case is there to hold a 2.5" drive.
It is perfectly safe to do that with the 3.5" drives, they usually don't need a caddy to hold them in desktop rigs.
