Question Western Digital HDD Not Appearing On Disk Manager

I am having current issues with a 2 Terabyte Western Digital Hard Drive. I am trying to use it as a second drive for games and etc. When i try to go to the drive's properties and "populate" it it just says "Volume information for this disk cannot be found:. On Disk Management only my main drive pops up and refreshing it does not help. I've switched the ports for the harddrive incase one was broken but it wasn't that. The name of the hdd on the device manager (it only appears there) is wdc wd20earx-00pasb0. I have found one firmware update from some website in my search query called files.hddguru.com but it only told me that my hdd was already up to date. So if anyone could give atleast a tip it shall be greatly appreciated
