I already have a 1 TB external hard drive for doing backups for all of my computers. The problem is that with the software that came with this Toshiba drive, it requires me to delete the entire backup too often. (It does incremental backups, but I'm always running out of room.) So I'm thinking of getting a larger drive for this reason and also for storing my movies to stream onto my TV. I want to get My Cloud from WD, though, I don't know which size to purchase. The question is whether I'll have to remove the backups every so often or whether the included software has a feature to just do a cleanup of redundant backup files? For example, I know IDrive has a feature like this called archive cleanup, and it keeps the backup space minimal. On the side, how much space should I alot to my movies (1080p)? I have yet to count how many movies I have. Thanks!

Or, you could use other software that deletes old backups all by itself.
Rather than relying on the Toshiba or WD MyCloud thing.

Macrium Reflect does this, even the free version.
The free version does Full and Differential backups, the paid version does Free, Differential, and Incremental.

It will do this using any external drive as a target.
