Western Digital or Seagate?

Which one is the best buy?The two are the same price.
Western Digital Caviar wd800bb or Seagate Barracuda ST380011A?

The WD is slightly faster and the Seagate is slightly quieter...theres not a whole lot in it really.

Well I have 80gig WD specail edition in one of the computers next to me, and its not very loud. Its only slightly louder than my seagate drives. Its not really noticable over the noise of the fans.

i woukld go with seagate, they can me a litle less faster then the wd but are more reabile, see reability section in storage review.

I'll put another vote for Seagate on both reliability and quietness.

I have WD, and have done for 3 years, never had a single failure *fingers crossed!*

XP2000, 512 ddr 2700ram, GF4 MX440, XP Pro

I'm currently using a Seagate IDE HDD and it runs pretty quiet. Seagate is your best bet.
