okay in other posts about the system i am building, i have already purchased 2 wd caviar 40gb 7200 hard drives. the advice is to dump those and go w/ibms deskstar for performance issues. i'll be using the raid function on my board ga-7dxr 0,1. is there a difference? if so is it really noticeable. your thoughts appreciated

well the ibm 40g 60gxp's are a little faster, not to mention very cool and quiet.
up to your own personal prefrences.

Dump them? Why in the world would somebody recommend that? The Deskstars are supposedly better, but the WD aren't bad.
