[SOLVED] Wether I can use two different brands of switches together

I have 2 eight porta engenius layer 2 switches in network. Is it possible to have a ubiquity 24 port switch as a core switch which would be layer 3 too. So will it work.

Pretty much a over simplified answer is they will work fine together because all switches follow certain standards for data transmission. That said of course you are going to have issue if you try to say use vlan tags on the main switch if the smaller switches do not support it. You will be fine as long as you do not attempt to use features that are not supported.

Only the early access Ubiquiti switches support layer 3 switching. I would not recommend them for a production environment yet.
