Why is this ram cheaper than other ram with the same specs. I know there’s a sale but still. Is there some sort of downgrade or something? I’m planning on buying a 9700k and Asus maximus xi code. What kind of ram should I buy with 32gb, 3200mhz, and 14cas that’s less than $450? Is this ram even compatible with z390. Why is the ram listed as GTZR (intel) but all the reviews are on ryzen cpu’s? Will this ram work at it’s full clockspeed (3200mhz) on an intel 9700k? https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=20-232-560&newReg=y&turntoflow=question&turntoflowid=3327913&turntoxauthtoken=MTMxNDk4Njc6MTU3NDA5MDMyNjk4MjpkMGJiODZkMjI5OTUyNzI5Y2E1NTI3MmVkYWU1NDllOA#turntodone

Solution
Also the lower the latency...in 14 the better overall..yes you can get faster ram but the performance is only marginal above 3200MHz and tighter timings like this kit is very good..
here's a link to the asus maximus xi QVL (qualified vendor list) list, https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/ROG-MAXIMUS-XI-CODE/HelpDesk_QVL/

the same part number without the R, ie F4-3200C14D-32GTZ is on the QVL and i believe the R only refers to RGB models, with LED lighting

only reason i prefer to look at the mfgr's QVL, if you're using memory that's they've confirmed "good to go" on their mobo, then it removes the possibility of them hiding behind "non-confirmed" memory if you call in for tech assist

and that is a good price, i just bought (10 days ago) $484 for 32 GB (four 8GB sticks), DDR4 3600 - if those would have been up for that price, i'd have jumped on them
