What 1440p Monitor should I pair with my Asus vg248qe?

Greetings all.

I currently own a 24 inch asus vg248qe monitor and I'm looking at getting another monitor. I'd like it to be an 1440p ips 60Hz since I already have a 144Hz 1ms tn monitor for competitive fps games. This one will mostly be for playing games like The Witcher 3, WoW, Nier Automata, and watching videos/streaming. I'd like this one to somewhat match my current monitor and be off to the side with a monitor mount. I'm willing to spend roughly 350 - 550$ (I live in Canada).

A few questions...
Should I have my ips monitor center or my tn?
Would the increased light from the ips monitor distract me?
Would a setup like this even work?
Would a 23.8, 25, or 27 inch monitor look weird?
Does it have to be the same brand?
Is there a 4k monitor that fits my qualifications in this price range? (doubt it fml)

This is a very difficult decision for me... Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

imho....ive owned asus displays for a while and my 27" ips is great...i can sit 10' beyond my monitor and watch a flick or i can game at ultra....

now if your picky and can recognize the differencfe between 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio and 10,000:1 CR and a 4Ms response in fps id say keep looking for something in your price range.....

tl;dr asus for quality
