Hello!

Currently I have 23 inch 1080p@60hz monitor, and I`m thinking about upgrading to 27 inch 1440p@144hz, but im really not sure on what monitor to buy. Right now I only have gtx 980, but Im planning on buying gtx 1180/2080 when it comes out.

1) Should I get TN or IPS panel?

2) Gsync or no gsync? Is it worth it(I have nvidia card)?

I`ve been thinking of getting:

ACER LED monitor Predator XB271HUAbmiprz if TN panel. I can get it for 530€ in my country.

OR

AOC IPS monitor AG271Qg if IPS panel. But its 780€ so its much more expensive.

Or are there any similar monitors that are cheaper?

If your monitor is 60hz.. It means you get 60fps only.... If your monitor is 144hz means you get 144fps.... Ips panels are slow when it comes to gaming tearing can occur... But they are bright and have wide viewing angles.... TN are pure gaming grade monitors but the color accuracy is bad... And also colors tend to shift.. But it's 2018 things have improved quite a bit get the Acer Predator..... It's worth it

IPS panels have a slower response time but have better colors and viewing angles. I cant see a difference in 4ms response time vs 1ms. For gaming, 5ms response time and lower is considered good. But maybe if you play quick twitch shooters you could benefit from a 1ms response time. IPS panels do not have any more screen tearing than a TN panel. Screen tearing occurs when the monitor hz is not the same as the GPU fps.

TN panels are cheaper, but have poorer colors and limited viewing angles. You have to be right in front of the monitor to see it well.

I love gsync and I think it is great. But it is expensive. So go for it if you can afford it. In my opinion, I would choose gsync over IPS. So if you cant afford both, go with gsync and get the TN.

I might get ASUS ROG Swift PG279Q which is 700€ and it`s IPS. But I heard of IPS glow/backlight bleed. Is that bad and can it happen frequently?

Acer XB271HU also have an IPS variant, which I do own. I bought it from ebay for around 500-600€ and it was like brand new.

XB271HU is a really good monitor. It doesn't have a 1ms response time but still feels smoother than other competitors.

Well unfortunately they don`t sell XB271HU in my country so I can`t get it :/

The ASUS PG279Q and the XB271HU are two of the best monitors in the world. I have a Predator x34 and a Predator xb32, both are IPS and I dont have any issues with backlight bleed.

I think I will go for the IPS. I have 2 monitors available to buy but i don`t know which one. Can someone tell which one is better? I can get both of them for the same price of 700€
