What 2 buy??? Help me choose!!

Hey peeps

Well I wanna buy a Digital Camera and would like some help in choosing one. Need to find a balance between price and performance/quality. Looking @ zoom rate, lcd size, resolution, quality, memory, amount of pics, battery life and quality etc. I don't know much about them, so would appreciate any help... personal taste, experience, reviews, web sites etc. pop me a line if you can help
