What 2400 o.c. means?

Hi i am interested buying this mobo https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/A88XPRO/#specifications . If i buy a ram with 2400 speed , what i have to do in order my ram runs at 2400 speed and not lower? What part i have to o.c. the motherboard , the cpu or both?

2400(OC) means that the board will run that speed memory but does it by overclocking the memory, you just set it in the bios memory settings to the correct speed and timings, and insure that the voltage is correct, probably 1.65V.
