Question What 580 8gb is the best

Hi I see alot of different 580 8gb versions and I don't know what one to go for. My spec is
Rx460 strix gpu
B350m motherboard
16gb ram
430w psu
Ryzen 5 1500 cpu
Nzxt s340 case

Will the new gpu run better than my current gpu? And what model is the best or the one I should go for. Thanks

A 500W PSU is the bare minimum acceptable torun a RX580, and even then... So, the answer is none of the above.

Unless you absolutely want a AMD card, you should look at nVidia, something like a 1060 or the new 1650. They need significantly less power.

If you want tostay with AMD, you'll have to upgrade the PSU or wait a few months to see if Navi will run OK with a 430W PSU...

All models will perform similarly, biggest difference is the cooler. More expensive cards will typically have better coolers than will run cooler and/or quieter, and possibly allow a higher overclock.

As said above, running a 580 on a 430 W PSU is iffy, especially as I can't think of any high quality 430W PSUs off the top of my head. A good quality 450W is the minimum IMO.

Yeah, price is going to be a large factor. Gotta know what country you're shopping in.

I'm not sure I would bother with a 1650, as they are about 10% slower than an RX 570 while being priced higher, at least in the US. Even that would be faster than an RX 460, but it's not exactly the best value card available now, and a 430 watt PSU would likely be able to handle something faster. And the 1060 6GB is currently priced too close to a 1660 to be worth considering over that newer card, which can be around 20% faster. Unless pricing is significantly different in your region, the 1660 might be a good option.

As for the RX 580, if you need to upgrade your power supply for it, then I agree that it might not be the best option either, as a decent PSU will likely drive the total upgrade cost up around that of a 1660. The RX 580 performs similar to a 1060 6GB, so again, the 1660 would be about 20% faster, and its lower power draw would make it more likely to run properly on your existing PSU.

You will need a better PSU. At least a 500W 80+ gold or 550W 80+ bronze. As for RX 580 versions, they all are pretty much the same, the difference being in cooling. The expensive ones have better cooling and heatsinks so better choice for overclocking.
