What 660 ti should I get for gaming?

So back on the topic which is a video card option in your price range, the best one is the Asus GTX 660 Ti TOP in SLI, mainly because the cooler is probably the quietest you can buy. However, looking at those prices, it's clear the MSI Power edition is your cheapest and best bet. It will deliver the coolest temperatures, important for sustained Turbo Boost clocks, and will still be almost as quiet as the Asus TOP.

So the only other thing to consider is EVGA's Step Up Program, which allows you to trade up to the latest generation of video cards at a minimal cost. If you think you might want to upgrade to the GTX 760 Ti this summer, then that might be a consideration. The Signature 2 card is very nice as well, it would just be my third choice out of the three listed.

@Profound, I've cleaned up this thread. The other three posters were as it turned out, all aliases for one another and nothing but a troll.

Well, you can do a direct comparison on those TechPowerUp reviews. They both got the exact same score, 9.7 out of 10 and were both awarded Editor's Choice. One difference was that the Asus ran at 25 Db at load, while the MSI ran at 29 Db at load, but both are practically silent. The Asus overclocked the core better, while the MSI overclocked the memory better, the MSI card gained slightly more performance due to overclocking. The last item to compare is the "Dynamic OC-Clock vs. Voltage" chart, which is different between the two, but it's a little difficult to interpret the significance.

I would get the much cheaper MSI PE card and be happy with its high quality components and top-end performance. It is not worth it to pay more for the Asus card.

On the cards it comes down to mainly temperatures and noise levels, they will all perform piratically identical. Some may overclock better too.

The EVGA is out of the question, overrated company, except for their support maybe...

MSI or EVGA cards are good to go, it's up to you if the card being a bit quieter and cooler for 40 dollars is worth it on the Asus card. If you just want to play, no overclocking, go with the MSI.

Ok thanks I will probably get the msi then and there wont be any noticeable difference between it and the asus, eg. Will the msi still get 60+ frames on bf3 like the asus does?

EDIT: And I have just been reading and msi 'Overvolt' there cards is that bad?
