I search on internet and everybody says that his i7 runs at 65C max.

Thank you.

Prolonged use at temperatures above 65c for the i7 4790k will cause long term damage. It's GPU's that can survive at temps up to 95c...

How long have you been using this cooler, and have the temps always been this high?

It sounds like a bad thermal paste application is to blame, or a faulty cooler. Is this PC pre-built? If so, where did you buy it from, and does it have a warranty? '

I'd contact them first to see if they will solve your problem for you, especially if you don't have any experience building PC's. If you did in fact build this PC yourself, I can walk you through how to reapply thermal paste on your CPU.

You think there is something wrong then?

As I said, your CPU will not reach 65c during games. This is a STRESS TEST. You are bound to get high temperatures seeing as you are maxing out every core. Test your temps playing any demanding game and tell us the results. If the 65c+ is true, just don't stress test, but I can't find anywhere that says 65c+ is bad, just some peoples opinions. You never got any crashes/warnings during the test? You are fine.

When "gaming" i only see a high peak at 60ºC.
It average temp its 50-55ºC so at normal load its ok.

But i see people saying like pepermint that i7 should run 65ºC max at stress test so... that why i am worried.

He said prolonged use above 65c, not during a stress test, your temps are fine, just don't stress test. You will not go above 65c during gaming.

There is really no need to stress test your system, as long as you can do everything you want without crashes you're fine.

The temperatures are still concerning... A stock CPU clock shouldn't be getting your cores that hot, even during a stress test. The point of your CPU Cooler is to ensure that they never gets close to that number, and the fact that it's surpassing it is not good.

However, I didn't realize these temps were recorded under a stress test, so as long as you pay attention to your CPU temps while gaming or performing other intensive tasks, you should be fine.
