What adapter do I need?

I have a 760gma p-34 (fx) motherboard. I purchased a WD Black 250gb NVME SSD. I have never used an SSD before so I was unaware I needed an M.2 slot. So I need an M.2 Sata converter? Just trying to fugure out what kind of converter will connect the above items. Thank you.

You need a newer platform to utilize the NVME drive.

You'd need a PCI-e to M.2 adapter card(make sure to read the specs to verify compatibility with NVMe drives),. However your motherboard does not support booting to NVMe so you'll only be able to use it as a storage drive.

That is perfectly fine. I only plan to put games on the ssd. Can you recommend an adapter?

That drive was mostly a waste of money with that motherboard.
If at all possible, send it back for a refund.

Then, buy a regular SATA III 2.5" SSD.
Crucial MX500 or Samsung 860 EVO.
Those WILL work with your motherboard.
