[SOLVED] What adapter should i use for combined audio/mic

Ok, i have a headset with built in microphone and only one 3,5mm male connector, but no audio port on my computer is a 3.5mm female all off them is split into micrpophone and audio respectively.
So my question is if i can buy a usb-a/c to 3.5mm to get the audio and mic working properly or if i must buy a dual 2.5mm (audio and microphone) to 3.5mm (the usb alternative is better because it's cheaper and easier to get my hands on).

You will have to look for 3.5mm headset / microphone Y-cable splitter, to separate microphone from headphones, like this
