What adjustments would you make to this build? (newbie)

I decided that I didn't want to go with a boutique builder and that I would build my own PC.I would like to keep the graphics card and processor. But what other more cost effective additions or changes would you make to this build? Please keep in mind that I really REALLY want to keep the same processor and video card (unless you know a better manufacturer at a better price.) What else would you suggest I add to the build that isn't included already (also remember: I am VERY new to building PCs).

well you picked very good parts there here is my advice
HD7970 pick differect version, the one you picked comes with OEM cooler that doesnt perform well. choose one with custom fan
get low profile heatsink ram, to avoid clearance issue with HSF cooler (maybe u need 212 evo)
