What alienware laptop should I buy for gaming?

My brother is looking for an alienware laptop for gaming.
He would like it to be able to play Watch Dogs on medium to high settings.
His budget is anything less or around £1000
Which alienware laptop do you recommend?

Honestly I would skip Alienware because the quality has went downhill over the past few years since Dell acquired them. And they still remain very expensive for what you get. The cheapest laptop I saw on their site was starting at $1,099 USD. Sure you could probably find a better deal through another retailer (just checked Best Buy and they had same prices), but I would advise going with another company like Toshiba or Lenovo.

As this fellow said, Alienware is notorious for their bad quality items. I would shy away from them. If you want a gaming laptop, I would recommend one of the Fangbooks by CyberpowerPC. They are built with better quality materials and are most likely cheaper than Alienware. Also, in my honest opinion I do not recommend a laptop for gaming and do not prefer them. I can say this as I use one for gaming currently and it doesn't suit all of my needs. I would much rather have a tower computer. I am in the works of making one that will be quieter, easier to work with, and will crush my former laptop (literally and figuratively). If your brother wants a decent computer, you could build him one. In fact I have one here that is around your price point. (Convert USD to GBP and it comes to less than your price point as well).

I would like to advise everyone who is planning to buy an Alienware DO NOT DO IT!

So here is what happened with me. I bought my Alienware x14 for about 1550$ and within 1 month I started getting issues. It was frustrating. First problem was with the adapter and they sent me a new one for free of course because I was covered with the warranty. Second problem with the sound system and they had to change the whole motherboard for it, also this was covered by the warranty because it has only been 2 months by then. They sent an engineer who spent few hours changing the motherboard then guess what... the new motherboard he had was broken so he sent the laptop back to the factory to fix it there. Imagine how much time I wasted with the support on the phone and mailing the laptop back and forward. Finally after 18 months of using it. I just hung up the phone with the support and I am really unsatisfied. I am not covered by the warranty anymore, I have a battery problem and a motherboard problem AGAIN which is going to cost me more than 500$. I bought a Dell laptop because I heard their customer service is amazing but that doesn't mean I would enjoy calling them every month.

I won't do this mistake again. Hopefully this comment will not help some of you to not fall for the same mistake.
