what am i doing wrong

i just got my gateway computer back plugged everything up but my monitor say no signal detected then proceeds to go into sleep mode why is that?

You need to post your computer stats and a bit more information. Does the system post? Do you get into Windows? Have you changed anything recently (hardware/drivers/software/etc)? Are you OC'ed? Have you tried moving to a different output on your card? Have you re-seated your graphics card?

Have u tried changing the VGA Cable (the cable connected from monitor to cpu)? One thing is to make sure ur VGA cable should be connected properly.
