I just bought a Phenom 9600 BE and a 4850 and i need a motherboard to go with it. I want to do some light overclocking and need a good, durable, cheap motherboard. My budget is at around 70 to 80 bucks (S&H included). What should i get?

It is a good board. I have it too. It has a problem though. The Northbridge stays at 80º.
If you put a cooler like Thermaltake CL-0034, it will block the only PCI-E 1x port.

i also picked out that gigabyte in the first reply for a build for a friend. seems solid and inexpensive. I currently run an s4 motherboard as well. solid.

Just keep the OC's to Mild.

I don't know if it's still a problem, but most boards on that Chipset where having issues with 125w Quad Cores and the board burning up.

If you do a large OC then be sure to get some chipset fans.

So long as you dont OC too much, you can have yourself a really nice system for likely not too much money. I saw some the the Quad Core Phenoms going for crazy low prices.

Do these boards have a multiplier option in the bios? or is is fsb/memclck (HTT) overclocking?

Yeah, i was looking at 780Gs and saw a Biostar that was rated well. My most recent build had a GigaByte 690G µATX motherboard that i really liked (it was an S2 so no OC, but that was OK since my CPU was no black edition).
Newegg is also selling a DFI LanParty 790FX http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813136044R... i really don't need all the cables and junk, just a board, though i doný know if the board would come with the rear panel plate

Talk bout crazy low prices, the 9600 had a 55 dollar discount when bought with some crucial ram, and the ram on its own had a 40 dollar MIB so all in all: free ram and over 30 bucks off on the CPU :)

i'd still recommend the gigabyte, but don't go with the s2h. the ds3 version is all solid capacitors, and has a much improved northbridge heatsink...for the same price. pretty fantastic oc options as well...

just my two pennies....

Yeah it sounds good, Its probably the one other board that caught my eye. how does it handle 4G of ram + Phenom?

Oh, I also bought a 4850 (prolly going to get it an after market fan) so on board video is not really a necessity. I mean, I don't mind it, but i don't need it.
