At the time I'm writing this, the review still isn't on the main page... and the link on this article isn't working either... I've just read big chunks from Anandtech.. what happened to yours Tom's ?

Anyone who wants actual benchmarks:

I don't care what AMD thinks, I care what Tom's thinks :p

They are right, the Fermi cards completely underwhelmed in reviews. The AMD 5k series has been delivering a nearly identical experience for 6 months now.

I'm kinda disappointed... but just hope that nVidia's drivers improve them over time.
Too bad the power consumption and temperatures won't - you can nearly boil water with the GTX 470 and 480. Although for folding, I'm pretty sure they'd be awesome.
Had a laugh at this:

Wow, it seems Nvidia actually went ahead and designed a DX11 card and found out how difficult it is to design. ATI/AMD just slapped a DX11 sticker on their DX10 card and sells it as DX11.

wait the reviews that I have read are very impressed with fermi... what is everyone else reading? Fermi tops the charts in 99% of the benchmarks that I saw for a single GPU card. Maybe I am not seeing the full picture, lol

Well just like the GTX280 and original 260 underperformed compared to their ATI counterparts, so do these. In time ATI will be playing catchup again and their fanbois silenced for a season.
