Yep... my recommendation as well. I have 3 in my build. The key is getting them on sale... currently $320 each but I got them on Black Friday for $250 each. Not that the current price is bad or anything but it's definitely been lower.

I think they are a much better value than the 980 Pro... which was recently in the $250 range for the 1TB model which for me made the 2TB 970 Evo Plus a no brainer. I see the 1TB 980 Pro is currently $200... but I'd still go with double the storage for a few dollars more over a speed increase that I'd a hard time ever needing or even noticing.

Gen 4 just isn't a great deal IMO.
1. Edit your post title and description. You have them flipped. Looks a little crazy.

2. If you are going to spend the money for 2TB of NVME storage, don’t cheap out. You’ll thank yourself down the road. Go with name brands like Samsung, Crucial, WD.
