I'm looking to purchase a new keyboard and mouse to game on and type papers. I had been gaming for years on the Microsoft Wireless 6000 keyboard and mouse which I really liked, but lately its been eating batteries and anytime it fails during a game of Starcraft II it's unacceptable. Needless to say I'm going wired.

I'm looking to spend roughly $100, more if it's worth it. So far these seem like decent choices:
KB
-Logitech G110 Black USB Wired LED Backlighting Gaming Keyboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16823126087
-Microsoft SIDEWINDER X4 Keyboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16823109191
M
-Logitech G500 10 Buttons Dual-mode Scroll Wheel USB Wired Laser 5700 dpi Gaming Mouse: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826104318
-Also the Logitech G400...

For those who know, are these decent brands for making gaming products and are there any other brands out there I should consider? I looked to MS because I was pretty happy with my current KB and mouse (also great experience with their customer support on a side note). I know Logitech makes a boat load of products, but not to sure how well they are made. Razer seems like a product that you pay for the name, and it doesn't really interest me all that much. Any others I should consider? What are your thoughts?

Also it seems they don't make ergonomic gaming keyboards? I got used to the shape so it would be kinda sweet if I could find a good one, but I can adapt to the standard type.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the tips, I read those articles already. I'm mainly interested in what people think are good brands, or what good experiences people have had with certain brands. Some of the top rated keyboards in those articles are more much more expensive. As I said I'm aware of Razer, but their keyboards in the $50 price range lack LED back lighting and certain other features that the other keyboards have.

Anyone else have thoughts about certain brands?

Hello there,

I recommend these from personal experience,

Razer Black Widow Mechanical Keyboard
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16823114011

Razer Deathadder Mouse
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826153055

Total comes out to a little over $100, but IMHO they're worth every dollar. I play alot of Starcraft 2, and I definitely feel the difference using my current peripherals.

Good Luck!!!
