The videocard I intend to buy - Radeon HD 4850 has GDDR3 Hynix memory type. I never heard of it, and I wanna know if this Hynex memory type is better or worse than the normal GDDR3 memory type which isn't Hynex.

Here is the card with Hynex memory type:

and here is a non-Hynex card:

If you look at the Gpu-Z printouts, you'll see that the numbers for everything are almost exactly the same, so yes, they will, technically, perform the same. Other considerations are brand reliability, durability, looks etc. While 'on paper' 2 cards may be identical, in reality, one may get hotter than another, just because of fan design, shroud, whether it's blower style (heat out of case) or open style (heat vents into case) etc, and that can affect performance. Warranty can be a consideration too, the hynix card may be 3 yrs, the other just 1 year.

Gotta look at the whole thing, not just tech specs.
OK, I knew that Hynix are a manufacturer of memory, but now which of these two cards is better: the one with Hynix memory or the other one?

PS: maybe I should have posted this in the Video Cards section, sorry.

I repeat my request: please tell me which of the cards I posted pics with GPU-Z is better: the one with Hynix memory or the one without? Don't redirect me to other cards using GDDR5, the only ones I can buy are the two aforementioned ones. My PC accepts ONLY single-slot cards.

Low end nvidia like GT610 and AMD HD5450 use GDDR3 ram, and yes there is such a thing as GDDR3.

Hynex is actually very good quality ram, so given the choice, if there was no other reasons, I'd choose Hynex GDDR5 over unknown GDDR5, but usually there will be other factors such as brand/model that I'd find more appealing.

Thanks, you seem to know these memories and how they work, so please tell me which of the two cards I posted photos of is better/more performant?

I am not telling you which card to go with, because you have already discarded my earlier advice that you always want a video card with GDDR5 memory. That is important.

So if you have made up your mind on this already, I can add nothing more to help you.

Finally someone who stays on topic! Thank you!

Are you 100% certain? There's absolutely no difference between them? Sorry for being too insistent, I just wanna know for sure, or as close as possible to "for sure" :)
