What is decompression (as in decompress a compressed file like RAR or ZIP) classified as? INT or FP process?

Almost all computing operations use integer performance. Very few highly specific applications have ever been able to take advantage of floating point optimizations, and hence why a math coprocessor was an option on 486 processors and prior.
