[SOLVED] What are some good free-to-play games available on steam?

I am looking for a good game to play that is free-to-play on Steam.

I do not want a game that is pay-to-win, as that defeats the purpose of free-to-play.

My personal favorite F2P game (and in my top 3 favorite games in general) is Planetside 2.
It may seem like a bit much to get into, but it really is a fantastic game.

There are people that call it pay to win, but they are mostly confusing playtime with money. The types of players that have all the expensive gear have dumped thousands of hours into the game and are just better. Any weapon used by an inexperienced player is going to be just as bad. Also, in game credits are relatively easy to earn, a weapon costing 5 or 10 bucks can be earned in a day or two of good playtime.

I've spend hours and hours playing PanetSide 2. I've been away from the game for a while, but I try to stay up-to-date.
It seems like they're currently adding lots of new features and push frequent updates, eventhough the game is a bit "old".
PlanetSide 3 is also on the horizon, so I'm personally interested in begining to play it again, and I think now could be a good time to pick up the game.

I joined an "Outfit" way back, and to me that added a whole new dimension to the game. I don't usually join clans or outfits, and it is not neccessary in order to enjoy the game, but I had a lot of fun.

I also had a lot of fun in Team Fortress 2. But that was years ago, and at that point in time, it seemed to be plagued by a lot of cheaters, which could be a bit annoying at times. But I had fun playing it back then
