Looking for a decent motherboard for my ryzen 3 2200g (this is my first build)
That CPU has only 4 Ryzen cores so just about any socket AM4 motherboard with a B450 or X470 chipset would do well with it. There are quite a few that fit that criteria so to narrow things down a bit you have to look at other factors too.
Are you going to use it with a discrete GPU or just the iGPU in the processor? If you will go with the iGPU then I'd try to pick a board with a 3phase SoC VRM.
When finished, do you want a compact or even ultra-compact system? Knowing that will help decide if you want a full-size ATX, a smaller mATX or tiny mini-ITX form factor.
An all-around safe suggestion that will do well now and also allow for growth is the Asrock B450M Pro4. It's a mATX board so it's smaller but has a pretty good VRM for both iGPU's and for 6 or even an 8 core CPU if you ever upgrade. But it has a pretty subdued esthetic, so if bling is your thing it might not work out.
