What are the benefits of BIOS Update?

Hi, what benefits does the bios update gets? Is it going to make any difference in performance?
My ram is ddr 1600 mhz but my bios says its running at 1333 mhz will the bios update set it right? Bios update will solve me fps drop issue?

Improve support for newer CPUs, bug fixes, stability fixes, improve memory support, etc.

It can, depending on what the update does. But usually, no.

That's probably the default. Go into the BIOS, enable XMP.

In general you only really want to update your BIOS if it really needs it.
