What are the chances of components failing?

Getting the anxiety for being a rookie building his first gaming pc in a few days. My parts are mainly from amazon and newegg. My cpu is from microcenter.

What if a part is dead? I don't want to feel the shock of knowing that I wasted money. I've been separately buying my parts instead of ordering all together. I might be out of the warranty if they do fail.

Then get an RMA from the retailer and return the component. Then when the credit is applied, get a new component.

Or just ask for a refund, and order the new component now.

As with anything, nothing is guaranteed to be bad, or good for that matter. That is what the warranty is for. If you purchased your components that long ago that their warranty is about to end, then you have to do as terry4536 suggested.
