[SOLVED] What are the CPU's can fit my motherboard

Hello guys
Im looking to upgrade my cpu without changing my motherboard
I have this motherboard and cpu
Intel i5 3340 3.10GHz 6MB Cache
Intel DH61BF LGA1155

The best you could upgrade to would be the i7 - 3770K

The I7 3770K will be the best you can upgrade to on that motherboard. You won't be able to OC on the H61 chipset.

CPU support list... select the DH61BF from there, it will download a pdf with the compatibility list.

Also you'll need to update the BIOS to version 7 or newer in order to install the 3770k.

Here is a list of available processors (new) from newegg. It is a relatively old processor so availability is a problem.

The motherboard is a H61. So a locked processor is probably a better fit.

I would go for the I5-3570 ($192) or i7-3770 ($263).

No that processor fits a different motherboard with a LGA2011 CPU socket. It is expensive because it is also an extreme edition 6core, 12 thread processor. Below is a link to the Intel spec sheet.

We posted the CPU compatibility list above already... if the CPU is not on the list it won't work with the motherboard, simple as that.
