Hello,

I am using a new Seagate One Touch external hard drive, manual url https://www.seagate.com/files/www-content/manuals/one-touch-hdd/pdf/one-touch-hdd-en_US.pdf

I see these details after connecting the Seagate One Touch HDD to my PC and

I intend to format the Seagate One Touch HDD to NTFS to store Macrium backups

Q1. I wish to use NTFS and leave everything else unchanged, can I copy and paste the default files from Seagate One Touch HDD to my PC, then I format the Seagate One Touch HDD to NTFS, then I copy and paste the files the default files from PC to my Seagate One Touch HDD? Will the copy and paste action corrupt or make any default files unusable?

Q2. If I did not copy and save any default files and I format Seagate One Touch HDD to NTFS, how can I get back the default files later?

Q3. If I did not copy and save any default files and I format Seagate One Touch HDD to NTFS, can I use it after I format Seagate One Touch HDD to NTFS?

Q4. What does the default files in Seagate One Touch HDD do? Do I need them for the hard drive to work?

Q5. How to check if the hard drive is in good condition?

Thanks
