Hello

I would want your help about the RAM.
I want to buy a new PC for Video editing, 3d animation and I am between Intel vs AMD.

My queries about the RAM are Corsair and G.Skill. The RAM that I will buy at capacity is 32GB.

Corsair
I looked on the website Corsair two models: DOMINATOR PLATINUM RGB and VENGEANCE RGB PRO.
First of all, what are the difference RAM between them? Also, I looked for the differences RAM and I saw on the internet the Capellix RGB LEDs. What is Capellix RGB LEDs on Dominator Platiunm? Is the better than Vengeance? The RAM I noticed on the RAM model here that the optimized is for Intel. If I build new computer with CPU i9-10900K, motherboard ASUS ROG MAXIMUS XII FORMULA and RAM CMW32GX4M4C3600C18W, will it work my PC? Finally, if I build AMD Platform with CPU AMD Ryzen Threadripper 2950x, motherboard ASUS ROG Zenith Extreme and RAM CMW32GX4M4C3600C18W, my system will be able to work?

G.Skill
I looked on the website G.Skill two models: Trident Z Neo, Trident Z Royal, Trident Z Royal Collector Edition, Trident Z RGB, Trident Z RGB (For AMD), Trident Z RGB DC, Trident Z, Sniper X, Flare X (For AMD), FORTIS (For AMD), Ripjaws V, Ripjaws 4, TridentX, RipjawsZ, Ripjaws, RipjawsX
First of all, what are the difference RAM between them? Also, I looked for on the internet and I don't find something or I don't understand.
In addition, I noticed each product from models, it has different letters towards the end. What does it imply or what is the difference? Such as:
  • Trident Z Neo: F4-3200C16D-32GTZN, F4-3600C16D-32GTZNC, F4-3600C14Q-32GTZN (EOL), F4-3600C14Q-32GTZNB,
  • Trident Z Royal: F4-3000C16D-32GTRG, F4-3000C16D-32GTRS, F4-3600C16D-32GTRSC, F4-3600C16D-32GTRGC, F4-4000C17D-32GTRGB, F4-4000C17D-32GTRSB
  • Trident Z RGB: F4-3000C14D-32GTZR, F4-3600C16D-32GTZRC, F4-4000C17D-32GTZRB, F4-4133C19Q-32GTZRF,
  • Trident Z RGB DC: F4-3000C14D-64GTZDC, F4-3200C14D-64GTZDCB
I noticed on the RAM model F4-3800C16Q-32GTZN that the optimized is for AMD. If I build a new computer with CPU i9-10900K, motherboard ASUS ROG MAXIMUS XII FORMULA and RAM F4-3800C16Q-32GTZN, will it work my PC?
Finally, if I build AMD Platform with CPU AMD Ryzen Threadripper 2950x, motherboard ASUS ROG Zenith Extreme, I will choose Trident Z RGB (For AMD) or I can choose Trident Z Neo Royal? So that my system will be able to work.

Solution
Once you select your motherboard, then look at the QVL (qualified vendor list) in the support area of the motherboard to insure that you buy supported memory. G.Skill also has a QVL on its site for each of its memory models that lists all of the boards by brand that are supported.

The exact memory model you choose depends on your budget and needs, just buy it all as a single kit. Memory is only guaranteed to run if bought in a kit, although it often will anyway, it is noce to be sure.

G.Skill has many models that will work, the optimized for AMD type works better than the standard RBG mainly on B450/B550 boards with Ryzen Matisse CPUs.
