I understand that integrated graphics are soldered onto the CPU and the dedicated is in the form of a PCIe card. I'm wondering what is similar and different in the processes and components used to make it?
Also, if we need DirectX and OpenGL to use our graphics cards, why not also for integrated graphics? If a program is made without utilizing those APIs, how does it run compared to a game or such that would use the APIs?
Thank you
