What are the different AGP slots?

I had my Leadtek A250 fry on my yesterday and tried to stick an older
AGP card in to the AGP slot only to find out that it doesn't fit due to
the notch alignment on the card and the motherboard.

Can someone direct me to a site that explains the difference in the AGP
notches and why I can't use an older AGP card in my motherboard?

There are different AGP speed levels, and the lower (older) levels use
different voltage levels that the newer faster ones. The older card
won't fit because if it did, it would be fried, and might damage the
MOBO, too.
