What will happen if I have a weaker cpu and a stronger gpu?

Your GPU wont be able to work at full potential and games which need more GPU power will drop in fps.
So it's basically useless to have a highend GPU paired with a lowend CPU because you will still get lag.

Nothing will be damaged.
