I'm a total beginner so I really need help.

If you have little knowledge of 'full stack' web development its going to be difficult to build a blog site this from the ground up.

Yes you will need php or some server side language compled with HTML5 CSS, JAvascript, etc.

Go Daddy is a hosting service that I would not recommend under any circumstances, the absolute worst imho.

If I were you I would starting learning about wordpress. Alternatively look into a php or javascript framework to accomplish the task, I've used Cake PHP in the past and its nice but there are many others. There is no need to reinvent the wheel for something like this.

Dowload XAMPP and start building some local pages to get familiar with PHP. There are of course many alternatives to PHP, but PHP is very popular and would springboard you into learning other onject oriented web languages.

One final thing to google if your brain does not already hurt is "responsive design". Fact is that the majority of people are accessing webpages via mobile devices these days.

Overall there is a wealth of things to learn but start small and build your skills incrementally.

If you have any specific questions feel free to PM me.

what about Adobe dream weaver? will it be useful for studying Php together with Html and css?
