[SOLVED] What are the write cycles of the 860 evo 250gb and 500gb

Solution
They both have 5 year warranty. Since the 500GB is double the size, the total data written is double (300TB written) according to the spec page -- https://www.samsung.com/semiconductor/minisite/ssd/product/consumer/860evo/

That means you have to write 168GB/day (for the 500GB) for every day you have that drive for the 5 years the warranty is in place.

Most people will not come close to the written data "allowance" before the 5 year warranty runs out.

Does the 500GB "last longer"? Yes, because it has more memory cells to spread the writes over.
