what are these black spots on cpu ?

i took out the cpu and saw some black spots.pc is running fine.i read in the net that if the cpu is burned it shouldnt work at all.so how to clean these spots and what are they?see them in the picture in the upper side.its a i7 2600k,with hyperx 212 evo cooler.i just had some power outages this week so i took of all my hardware to ensure that is ok.http://

Ignore them not a big deal, may be carbon/corrosion of copper, just dont worry about that generally came over copper parts

Hmm, looks like the gold plating may have come off of those pads, it may be oxidation of the underlaying metal. I wouldn't try to clean these too much if everything is working ok as if you wear them down further you may disrupt the connection to the mobo socket.
