What are these VelociRaptor ports?

I recently bought a 1Tb WD VelociRaptor and I saw a port that I didn't recognize. I did a quick Google search and I couldn't find out what it was. What is that port on the right of the SATA data and connectors? I'm sure it is some server connection that I've never heard of.

Do you mean the 8 pins to the right of the sata ports?
Or the hole just to left of 8 pins
(8 Pins Test connections or jumpers )

Testing Only WD would use them during manufacturing process
Jumpers not sure

Servers might use sas connectors
there are sas versions of velociraptors

Update Saturday
jumpers can be used to force drive to go direct to SATA I or II (150 or 300) in case of old motherboard chipsets which do not properly initialise SATA II or III (300 or 600) disks
