It takes me exactly 22 seconds to reach the password request menu. I was just wondering what times are you guys getting.

PC is fully functional as soon as you enter the password, no wait time at all.

My Specs are:
Intel i7-4790
MSI Gaming 5
Samsung Evo 850 Pro 256 GBs
EVGA GTX 960
Cooler Master Seidon 120v

Toshiba L305 laptop (2009)
Celeron 2.2Ghz
2GB RAM
5400 RPM HDD

Ignoring the 5 second decision time for the dual boot between Win 7 and Win 10...

23 secs to password request
4 secs after that

I read a Microsoft link the other day discussing how they worked to improve boot-up times for Windows 8 and that they built upon that to improve boot-up time for Windows 10 even more. But now, I can't find that link. Anybody have any legit links from Microsoft themselves specifically discussing the improved boot-up times for Windows 10?

I am especially curious if boot-up times will improve with the new NVMe interface, which allows for a 6x performance increase for SSD's. For more on that see:

M.2 and SSD's 20 to 40 Gbps with NVMe
