What are your thoughts on nvidias next gen gpus? Wait or buy 1060??

I saved up money to buy 1060 6gb but im not sure if i should get one or wait and get a next gen nvidia gpu (2060).

Truth but the problem is i live in a messed up country and gtx 1060 6gb is 400$ so prolly next gen will be almost same with some performance increase. Im not familliar with how nvidia likes to release their gpu's so i dont know if i should wait. I dont want to get 1060 and then 1-2years for it to become useless.

Understandable but if you wait for "the next big thing" you'll never buy a card, around 2-3 years is when you want to upgrade your card to keep up with gaming requirements but it could last longer depending on what you think is acceptable for graphics/FPS.

Look at it this way: If a 1060 6gb gives you all the performance you need, and you can have it now, why are you waiting? Sure, 4 months from now Nvidia might release a slightly faster card for the same price...but you don't need that faster performance. Meanwhile months have gone by with you stuck using the 660.

I guess you are right and also i dont think next gen will be alot better than 1000series. Hopefully it wont be a big difference as it was with 900series and 1000series. I guess ill go for it what 1060 6gb would u guys recommend???

Whichever model is affordable, the differences between them are minor. If possible get a version that has two fans as that will help keep it cool.
