What bracket and SATA cable will fit my new SSD?

Hello dear community!

Recently I've gotten a brand new Samsung SSD 840 evo to replace my 6-year-old HDD. The idea is to use the new SSD as the main boot drive, and then the other HDD as storage. Therefore I will install important games on the SSD to get the best performance while having a fresh Windows 7 install on it. However, when I was about to install the SSD in my computer, I found out that my SSD didn't come with a bracket or SATA cables. My Computer bracket places (look on the picture) do not fit with my SSD; it'll just risk falling out and it wouldn't sit tightly because the SSD is small compared to my "fitting" HDD.

I would like to know what bracket I should buy to fit with my SSD (and my computer-case is NZXT Phantom Big Tower White) and what Sata cables to use. I also have a (MSI Z97 GAMING 5, Socket-1150 Motherboard).

I saw a video on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SFowSc5gOhE
On 2:23 you can see some kind of bracket, which holds the SSD together and fits with the "computer"... it's hard to explain, but I think a bracket looks like that. Plus, the guy in the video seems to be holding the same SSD as I have.

I'm desperate to use my SSD with demanding games etc., but my lack of knowledge prevents me from utilizing my awesome SSD :(

Solution
You want a 2.5" to 3.5" drive mounting bracket.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817994158

Though I usually just leave the SSD sitting free inside. It's not like I move the desktop around, and the SSD case prevents any short circuits.

I also recommend using SATA cables with retaining clips. The mysterious "drive has disappeared from BIOS" problems I used to experience have all but disappeared since I switched to those.

Hey Thanks for your answer :)

I would just like to know if every Sata cable will work with my SSD/motherboard?

I've also heard that "SATA III" cables are better than "SATA II" cables - in terms of performance; because the Sata III cables can use like 100% of the SSD or something. Is that true? If so, could you link me a Sata III cable which fits my Samsung SSD 840 evo :)?

Hey bro, thx for your answer!

I've heard that "Sata III" cables are better than "Sata II". Could you then perhaps link me a "Sata III" cable which of course functions with my SSD :)?

AFAIK there's no difference.

It wasn't by chance a Monster Cable salesman telling you this? ;)

I usually get latched cables from Monoprice or Newegg. Usually Monoprice not because I think they're better, but because they let me find the length, style (e.g. latched), connector (straight or 90 degree), and color a lot more quickly.

Use this - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812816115

There has been a lot of discussion about the SATA II, SATA III cables. I read that SATA III cables are re-labeled SATA II cables.

Hey dude!

Damn, I wasn't aware of that . I got this misinformation from the youtube video that I linked.. Well I'm glad that you just proved that the different Sata cables litterally are equally good :).

Thanks for your comment! :)

Btw I wish it was possible to choose two best answers because you and Urables both gave me nice answers/solutions :)
