What is best for maximazing FPS Should I go all in on CPU och GPU or is MOBO och RAM important aswell?

Summary: 270$ difference in the builds but in the more expensive the focus is more on the CPU and GPU meanwhile the cheap leans more towards MOBO and RAM

What should give me the most advantages in games such as CSGO, League of legends, new modern warfare och battle royale games in general? I suppose it’s the FPS count i’m after?

Thank you! What about userbenchmarks tho? It says that 2070s and rx 5700 xt have the same performance? RX 5700 xt vs RTX 2070s Sorry for my ignorance. First time i'm building a computer and my knowledge concerning computers prior to this is 0.

This is Tom's own review: https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/amd-radeon-rx_5700-rx_5700_xt,6216-7.html
'Across our benchmark suite, Radeon RX 5700 XT averages 9.9%-higher frame rates than the GeForce RTX 2060 Super. Radeon RX 5700 averages 11%-higher frame rates than the GeForce RTX 2060. The GeForce RTX 2070 Super does serve up average frame rates 6.9% higher than Radeon RX 5700 XT, but it costs an extra 25%. '

For me, the second build will be better FPS than the first.

Two reasons, the 9700k is faster than the R3600, and the 2070 super is faster than the 5700xt (game dependent)

Prob about 10-15% difference in FPS, depending on the game.

A 650watt psu will be more than enough and probably cheaper, must say after looking that the 750W RMx has a very good price. From a cost perspective does the first seem more the better choice. Don't think the 3600 is that much worse than the 9700K. Depends on resolution played on too (?).

Could even make it cheaper and go for this motherboard which supports the Ryzen 3600 out of the box,
https://www.inet.se/produkt/1902987/msi-b450-tomahawk-max
might give room to upgrade to the 3700X or the gpu.

Wont the b-450 come with stock speed at 2666MHz and therefor not support my 3200mhz ram? I dont know how to unlock the ram speed? Just enable a XMP-profile or do I have to modify manually in the bio? Maybe a 3600MHz trident Z Neo C cl16 will be better in that case than the 3200mhz ram I currently have in my build?

I’ll definitely look into the 650w psi, thank you!

The motherboard supports this ram,

For AMD Ryzen Gen3 (R5/R7/R9)
  • Supports 2667/ 2800/ 2933/ 3000/ 3066/ 3200/ 3466/ 4000/ 4133 MHz (by A-XMP OC MODE)
As said enable A-XMP in the bios and the speed should be set to the values needed. Maybe if things are wonky put them in manually. If you can get 3600/16 speed ram should that be just better.

And the XMP-profile won’t touch the cas latency, only up the ram frequency?

Although Ryzen 3.0 has caught up on IPC, Intel still wins out on pure clockspeed. Hence is the faster chip. The Super being lightly faster than the XT, and the 9700k being slightly faster than the R3600.

Like I said, approx 10-15% performance increase in FPS, game dependant.

edit: Here is Tom's review on the R3600: https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/amd-ryzen-5-3600-review,6287-11.html

You can see it compared to the 9700k, and the difference in FPS, as I've advised. Also keep in mind again, that this is game dependent.

Ohh thank you!

No, XMP will set speed, timings and voltage. You just select the correct XMP profile and you should be good to go.
Hmm, so that means I can choose a wrong xmp... :D probably what will happen since I suck at all this haha but thank you for your answers, helps a ton!

See where the 5700XT does better and where it does worse, don't think on avarage he's going to see the difference. Maybe in very specific games, but he should check that review out for himself and look for games he plays.Same goes for the Ryzen 3600,
AMD Ryzen 5 3600 Review: Non-X Marks the Spot - Tom's Hardware
Money saved can be going to a better monitor if playing on some generic model or a nice cpu cooler for instance.

I did explain, twice, 'Game dependent!'

It's not for all games. But most, the Super will perform on average, a little bit better.

Same doesn't go for the Ryzen though. The 9700k is faster in nearly all scenarios. Just read the article to see. In practically every metric the 9700k is faster than even a 3700/3800x. Apart from rendering and encoding, the 9700k is generally the faster CPU, by a long shot.

Shouting doesn't make you right. I am not saying that purely on power that the 9700K isn't better for gaming, but i look at it from a price/performance pespective and the amd build looks much better there.
Not like most games he talks about are that hard to run.

That Intel build doesn't even have 16gb of ram which makes it even more expensive if he wanted that in,but guess that build is his max.
Also he didn't answer what monitor he has and maybe is the money saved better put to a good gaming monitor if he has some generic one.

I missed the 8gb on the RAM, on the 9700K, you are right! 16GB would be so much better..but the cost would go up..thankfully not that much but still higher...choices, choices but to honest both choices will still give him a great experience. 9700K still edging on max FPS...3600 just on productivity...

The 3600 does give good fps as well, just not as many as the 9700K mostly. The more taxing the game is the closer they get in performance. Just without looking too much at the 9700K check that review and see how well the 3600 does. He could get the 3700X for less money than the 9700K so imo is the 3600 a better deal.

I’m looking at a monitor between 144-240hz..

240hz

165hz

144hz

If I’m honest I haven’t look that much into monitors yet but 450-500$ is my absolute roof... :)

Am not that into monitors. Personally would the 165hrz Asus be enough for me. Read some reviews about them.

Also personally would i pick a 144hrz 27" monitor ( i did). This one seems pretty nice,

Guess that which one to pick also depends on which system you get, hardly anyone has an unlimited budget.
you think its better with 27" than 24", just feel better to game on or is there something im missing? Im not sure that im into the curved monitor thingy, but it gives better gaming experience as well?

Just wanted to show it seems you have the money for it. It just gives abit more real estate,is imo abit more immersive.
Get something that you prefer,if you want 24"go for it. No shops where you can compare?

Ok ty :) yes i have shops where i fan campare so ull do that, thank you very much again!
